Dr Simon Moy BDS | Principal Dentist

Simon Moy is the principal dentist at Belconnen Dental Centre. He grew up in New Zealand and completed his degree at Otago University in 1994, working first as a general dentist in Young and Orange, before moving to Canberra in 1998, when he started at Belconnen Dental Centre. Simon is very well respected and well liked in the Canberra dental community. He spends considerable time collaborating with other clinicians and dental specialists to ensure the best possible treatment outcomes for his patients. He’s also passionate about continuing education and enjoys all facets of dentistry, in particular, cad-cam restorations and implants. Simon loves living in Canberra with his family but remains a loyal All-Blacks supporter. When not at the surgery or with his family, you may come across Simon when he’s pursuing his newest passion – running.

Dr Kahee Jun BDS | Dentist

Kahee grew up in New Zealand and completed her degree at the University of Otago. After two years of public service in Wellington Hospital, she relocated to Queensland, where she worked for eight years as a general dentist before recently moving to Canberra with her husband. Kahee is passionate about changing the way people view dentistry and enjoys helping patients overcome their fear of dentistry.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and loves the variety that working in a general practice brings. In her spare time, Kahee enjoys keeping fit, cooking and is an avid Yogi. She lives with her husband and their big white fluffy cat.

Dr Teresa Hwang BDS | Dentist

Teresa Hwang grew up in Christchurch, New Zealand and moved to Dunedin to complete her Bachelor of Dental Surgery. She has worked in both hospital and private practice dental settings in New Zealand and Australia. Teresa is a caring, gentle dentist who enjoys treating patients of all ages.
She is passionate about teeth and smiles and has a particular interest in children’s dentistry, root canal treatment and crown and bridgework. When she’s not at work, Teresa enjoys skiing, travelling with her partner, shoes and baking sweet treats for family, friends and work colleagues.

Dr Daniel Unger | Dentist 

Daniel has recently moved back to Canberra after living and working in northern New South Wales for several years. He completed his Bachelor of Dental Science at Charles Sturt University in Orange, New South Wales and has worked in numerous clinics prior to joining us at Belconnen Dental Centre. He is genuinely passionate about dentistry and regularly attends updates on the latest dental techniques and treatments so that he can provide patients with the best possible care. Outside of the clinic Daniel is a keen cyclist, marathon runner and snowboarder.


mel wilson

Mel Wilson | Dental Hygienist

Mel is a local girl who started in the dental industry in 2001 as a dental assistant. She completed both Dental Assisting and Dental Radiography training at CIT in Canberra, before achieving an Oral Health Certificate at the University of NSW. After assisting in the dental profession for years, Mel yearned to make the transition from assistant to clinician. She subsequently moved to Adelaide, where she completed her Bachelor of Oral Health, graduating in 2006 on The Dean’s List. Mel is passionate about improving patients’ overall health by improving their oral health.

Outside of surgery, Mel is a keen netballer and jogger and loves spending time with her boyfriend and their dogs.

melissa rodgers

Melissa ‘MJ’ Rodgers | Dental Hygienist

MJ grew up in Perth and studied Dental Hygiene at Curtin University, graduating in 1998. After completing her studies, MJ lived and worked in Geraldton in a very busy country practice for three years. This proved a great initiation into the profession and has given MJ a solid skill set to build from. 

2002 was the year for a change, and Canberra beckoned. MJ has worked in private general and specialist dental practices since arriving. MJ is dedicated to patient education and genuinely loves her work. When not at work, MJ spends time with friends and family and travels to Perth to visit her family there.
